Welcome to my journey!



Hello...this is my first post in a blog. I'm hoping to just journal my path to getting ready for the Kansas City Half Marathon on October 20, 2012.


I need to lose about 10 pounds to run better, so I'll talk about that journey also.


I've ran two half's already...Garmin Half in Olathe this spring and the Joplin Memorial Half in May. I ran that one with my younger son Cory.

YEAH! I did it...my first 13 miler!
As the title says...my next half marathon is the KC Half on October 20. I've started the training program from their website and I'm trying to follow it. I've been running around 5-6 miles 6 days a week and biking on the Katy Trail on the off day. Saturday, Rick, my hubby and I rode to Sam's Park on the Trail and back which is 20 miles. Good workout!
